Mango
Bay Hotel In Barbados
"The Best All Inclusive Hotel On The Island's Platinum West Coast"

An Overview Of The Mango Bay
Hotel in Barbados
In my opinion the most important thing about a hotel is its location
and for an all
inclusive Barbados hotel on the west coast of the island
Mango Bay definitely has this quality down pack.
It is located right in the heart of a popular major city in the parish
of St.James called Holetown and is at the end of the most
entertaining street along this coast.
Lets look at some of the major benefits of this location....
It
is well suited for those of
you who wish to enjoy an all inclusive beach vacation on the island
while avoiding the atmosphere of a large hotel.
Once you arrive at this 4 star all inclusive Barbados
beach hotel you will notice that Mango Bay Hotel in
Barbados is a small luxury hotel with only 76 guest rooms.
This will keep your vacation relatively intimate.

The Area Surrounding Mango Bay Hotel
Barbados

Where
is the nearest beach to the hotel?
You
will also notice that The Mango Bay Resort Barbados is set on a 1600
foot sand beach, right at the end of a gap known as 2nd
Street.
This beach has many watersports available to hotel guests,
which are included in your room rates
or all
inclusive package.
Are there restaurants nearby Mango Bay Hotel in Barbados?
The good thing about being on 2nd Street is that it is lined with
restaurants and bars allowing you to enjoy a romantic dinner or grab
some drinks whenever you wish.
A disadvantage to this though is that the area can be a bit noisy at
night during the weekends.
The nearest restaurants are located along 2nd Street, the very street
leading to the hotel’s entrance. You can therefore walk right
out
the hotel and into a restaurant for dinner. Two of the best
are
Mews and Elbow.
•
Mews
First I want to mention Mews because it is a small restaurant with a
romantic atmosphere, serving Eclectic and International
cuisine.
It is a great choice if you are a couple staying at Mango Bay looking
for somewhere quite and intimate, that is close by. It is just a minute
walk outside of the hotel’s entrance.
The attire at The Mews is upscale casual so you should wear dress pants
and a nice shirt as opposed to jeans and a t-shirt) if you choose to
dine here.
If you want you can also stay on after dinner and have some drinks at
the bar while enjoying live music on a Friday night.
•
Elbow
Room
The Elbow Room is a relatively new addition to 2nd Street where you can
grill your choice of meats and fish over a heated stone.
However this is more of a bar than a restaurant and comes to life on
the weekends with live bands and entertainment. The dress is
also
casual as compared to Mews.
It is therefore a good choice for those of you in your mid to late 20s
looking for a good meal, drinks and music without the night club
atmosphere.
•
Spago
Spago Restaurant and Bar is an Italian restaurant serving a wide range
of Italian cuisine. However their pizzas are their
specialty. So if you are feeling for pasta or a gourmet style
pizza check Spago out.
•
Olive’s
Bar and Bistro
This is an upscale, casual Mediterranean restaurant in 2nd Street,
St.James
•
Sitar
Indian Restaurant
An Indian restaurant with Bajan flair in 2nd Street, St.James
There are also some restaurants in 1st street, the street parallel to
2nd street, that are a stones throw away from Mango Bay.
•
Angry
Annie’s Restaurant
If you don’t want fancy, expensive food and want an authentic Barbados
meal for dinner then this is for you. This restaurant has
been
around since the early 80s and mainly focuses on Bajan and Caribbean
cuisine.
It is a cheap casual place to dine but don’t expect the fancy service
you will get from restaurants like the Muse.
•
Ragamuffin’s
Ragamuffin’s is another restaurant that serves authentic Barbados
cuisine along 1st street. This restaurant is cheap as well
with
meals for around $20USD.
Are
there any nightclubs or pubs nearby Mango Bay Hotel in Barbados?
As
mentioned before 2nd street has a variety of bars and pubs to choose
from. The most popular of these being Lexy Piano Bar.
•
Lexy
Piano Bar
Lexy
piano bar is a brand new bar offering live piano entertainment
throughout the night.
This is the nearest Barbados bar to the Mango Bay Hotel and is located
right at the hotel's entrance. This is a must visit for the
mature crowd staying at the resort.
How about shopping near Mango Bay Hotel in Barbados?
Since Mango Bay is in Holetown you will be right across the street from
the West Mall Shopping Centre where you can find a supermarket, duty
free shopping and more.
You will also be able to check out The Chattel Village, a collection of
small gift shops in the town.
Will I be near to Bridgetown?
It takes about 20 – 30 minutes to get to the capital of the island,
Bridgetown, from the hotel. Bridgetown is a great area to
shop
for duty free items.
No worries though, the hotel does offer each guest one free, round
trip, shuttle ride into the downtown core of the capital, which should
satisfy most of your shopping needs.
Where is the nearest supermarket or grocery store if I need to buy
something?
Since
you are right in the heart of Holetown there is also a supermarket
called Super Centre just across the street and a few minutes south of
the hotel.
This supermarket is in the shopping mall

24 hours.
How
long will it take me to get to the hotel from the airport?
