Many of the restaurants in the Sandy Lane area are more upscale and elegant than restaurants found elsewhere on the island.
If you choose to stay at the Sandy Lane Hotel during your Barbados vacation they have 2 main on-site restaurants:
L'acajouL’acajou is the upscale signature restaurant at the Sandy Lane Hotel in Barbados which offers New World / International cuisine.
This is a very expensive restaurant.
Bajan BlueThis is the hotel’s more casual and informal restaurant, as opposed to L’acajou.
This Bajan restaurant focuses on authentic local and Caribbean cuisine and is right by the beach.
For those of you who are not staying at The Sandy Lane Resort but will be staying in the area, there are some other great Barbados restaurants to choose from.
The Tides RestaurantIf you want to do elegant but don’t want spend the big bucks L’acajou at The Sandy Lane Luxury Hotel then there is Tides Restaurant.
Tides Restaurant is an elegantly, casual ocean front restaurant just a few minutes north of The Sandy Lane Luxury Hotel.
This restaurant specializes in seafood
and world cusine and has amazing service.
Cocomos is one of the nicest, more affordable restaurants near Sandy Lane in my opinion. It is a beach side restaurant and bar in nearby Holetown.
Its main focus is on Caribbean, Eclectic and International cuisine and is a great place to go for dinner.
Cocomos is very laidback and more casual than most of the restaurants in the Sandy Lane area.
Angry Annie’s is a fairly small restaurant that you can eat at if you want cheaper authentic Barbados food in the Sandy Lane area.
They focus mainly on Bajan and Caribbean cuisine and are very casual.
Note that I said cheaper not cheap. This restaurant is still located in an expensive area of Barbados and so are the meals.
Also don’t expect the quality and service you would get from L’acajou and Bajan Blue here.
I mention this restaurant because it is suited for visitors staying in the Sandy Lane area who are on a budget but are looking to enjoy some Caribbean food flavour.
