There are 202 guest rooms on offer at the Crane Barbados Resort.  These guest rooms are divided between the resort's Historic Hotel and Private Residences.

The Historic Resort Apartments

The rooms of the 1887 Historic Hotel at The Crane Barbados make up 18 of these guest rooms and are available in 4 styles; Standard Hotel Rooms, Deluxe Hotel Rooms, One Bedroom Suites and Two Bedroom Suites.

All the suites in the Historic Hotel have hardwood floors and authentic antique furnishing.

There is also the option to join select hotel rooms and suites together to form ocean-front apartments with 12 foot ceilings, ocean-view wrap around balconies and fully functioning kitchens.

• The Standard One Bedroom Hotel Rooms

The hotel rooms at the Historic Hotel of The Crane Barbados are the smallest and most basic rooms offered by this Barbados luxury hotel.  

There are 3 Standard Hotel Rooms  that  you can book at the resort with 1 having an ocean view.

While the remaining 2 standard hotel rooms do not have an ocean view they are equipped with air conditioning.

Other features of these hotel rooms include a mini fridge, bedroom with a 4 poster King sized bed, private bathroom, coral stone walls and high ceilings. 

These guest rooms are best suited for up to 2 guests but two of these guest rooms can be joined together with a one bedroom suite to form a two bedroom apartment.

• The Deluxe One Bedroom Hotel Room

There is also a Deluxe One Bedroom Room available at the Crane Barbados Historic Hotel.  

This room is similar to the standard one bedroom hotel room but features both a garden view and ocean view and also comes equipped with a kitchenette.

This guest room is best suited for up to 2 guests.

• The Junior Suites

The next step up from the hotel rooms of The Historic Hotel are the hotel's suites.  These suites are larger than the hotel rooms, yet smaller than the hotel's apartments.  

There are 5 suites for you to choose from with 4 of them offering spectacular ocean views.

However the lone suite without an ocean view offers a view of one of the resort's pools with access to the main pool from the suite's patio.

You will find 3 different types of suites at the Crane Barbados Historic Hotel. These are The Junior Suites, The One Bedroom Suites and Two Bedroom Suites.

With a semi-private sitting room and fold out sofa bed the Junior Suites can accommodate up to 4 persons.

• The Standard One Bedroom Suites

Each of these One Bedroom Suites features a semi private sitting room, a pull out sofa bed, private patio, a private bathroom and some have coral stone walls.

The Standard One Bedroom Suites at the Crane Barbados Hotel are more spacious than than the Standard Hotel Rooms.

As well as the above mentioned amentities, these suites also come equipped with a spacious bedroom, a full kitchen and a beautiful ocean view patio.

• The Deluxe One Bedroom Suites

This Barbados luxury resort also offers Deluxe One Bedroom Suites.  

The main difference between these suites and the Standard One Bedroom Suites is that these suites offer a panoramic view of the ocean from their large balconies.  

This is due to the fact that they have a corner location.

These suites are best suited for up to 4 adults.

• The Standard Two Bedroom Suites

At The Crane Hotel in Barbados a Standard Two Bedroom Suite is ideally a Standard One Bedroom Suite joined to one of the resort's Hotel Rooms.  

These guest rooms are joined together by a connecting door.

Along with the extra bedroom these suites, like the other suites at The Crane Barbados, feature a private sitting room, 2 bathrooms, a fully equippped kitchen and a spacious ocean view balcony.

Unlike the other guest rooms at The Crane Barbados, these suites can sleep up to 6 adults.

• The Deluxe Two Bedroom Suites

Instead of a Standard One Bedroom Suite joined to a Hotel Room, the Deluxe Two Bedroom Suites are made up of a Deluxe One Bedroom Suite joined to a Hotel Room.

All of the amenties of a Standard Two Bedroom Suite are found in these suites, but since they are are made up using a Deluxe One Bedroom Suite they too offer a panoramic view of the ocean from their large corner balconies.

The Private Residences

The Private residences at The Crane Barbados are all 19th century yet still feature all the 21st century amenities that you would expect from such a hotel. The most prominent features include 10 foot timber tray ceilings, coral stone walls and Jacuzzis. 

They are all highly elegant and all feature stunning views, either of the gardens or the ocean.

• The Junior Garden View Suite Private Residences

Unlike the other Private Residence Suites at The Crane Barbados Luxury Hotel, the Junior Suites offer a view of the garden as opposed to an ocean view.

In the Junior Gard View Suite you will be surrounded by beautiful stone coral walls and have a king-size four poster bed to rest in.  The suite is furnished with mahogany furniture, floor to ceiling cedar doors with adjustable louvered shutters and air conditioning.

Another great feature of the Junior Suite Private Residence is that you will have a sitting area with a bay window along with some of the best in room amenities The Crane has to offer.

There is a mini kitchen in the Junior Suites.  This mini kitchen features a mini fridge, sink, coffee maker, toaster and blender and some come with a microwave.  If you want to have a private residence with a full kitchen instead you can choose to book one of the one bedroom or two bedroom suites.

In the marble bathroom of your Junior Suite Private Residence you will find a private shower and Jacuzzi tub, private toilet room, single vanity, hard dryer and razor pint.

• The One Bedroom Ocean View Private Residences

The One Bedroom Ocean View Private Residences at The Crane Hotel are more spacious than any of the guest rooms in the Historic Hotel.  

Located on the upper floor of the hotel, the nicest thing about these suites are that they offer you an amazing view of the ocean from their 8 foot by 14 foot patio.

This patio is adjoined to the suite's bedroom via floor to ceiling cedar doors with adjustable loouverd shutters. This gives you easy access to the patio and the suite's beautiful view.

Since these private suites at The Crane Barbados are extremely luxurious, as opposed to the resort's Historic Hotel apartments, the in-room amenities you will find inside are as luxurious as they come.

In addition to the features of the Junior Suite, amenities include a Champagne Air Jacuzzi with built in Aromatherapy and a double sized spa shower with 5 multi purpose showerheads.  Your jacuzzi is even strategically positioned so that you can look out at the ocean while taking a bathe!

Unlike the Junior Suite, your private residence will have a full sized, marble floor kitchen with state of the art cooking applicances, crockery, cutlery and granite counter tops.

You will also have a living and dining room with hardwood floors and chandelier lighting totaling 23'10" x 13'4" .  This living space provides a 13' x 9' ocean view and is equipped with an entertainment center, 36" Cable TV, DVD player, hand crafted mahogany dinning room table, ceiling fans and traditional artwork.

For a bit more per night you can also choose a One Bedroom Ocean View Private Residence at The Crane Barbados Hotel that is equipped with a Plunge Pool.  

There are two choices of One Bedroom Plunge Pool Suites for you to choose from, the first being a corner suite with a private 9' x 14' disappearing edge pool.

Your other option is a One Bedroom Plunge Pool Suite on the ground floor which has a full length 28 foot disappearing edge pool with ocean view.

All of the One Bedroom Residences will comfortably sleep 4 adults.

• The Two Bedroom Ocean View Private Residences

If you would like to experience the same amount of luxury at The Crane Hotel in Barbados but need more space to sleep more people there are Two Bedroom Ocean View Private Residences available.

These luxurious residences essentially are identical to the One Bedroom Ocean View Private Residence but with a Master and Guest bedroom, 2 bathrooms, living and dinning area and can comfortably sleep up to 6 guests.

The living area is very spacious measuring 23'10" x 13'4" and has a 13' x 9' view of the ocean.

Featuring the same in-room amenties as the bedroom of the One Bedroom Ocean View Private Residences, The Master bedroom has stone tile floors and its own private, marble bathroom with Champagne Air Jacuzzi.  There is also a large, private patio off this bedroom.

The Guest Room also features the same in-room amenties as the bedroom of the One Bedroom Ocean View Private Residence, including a 4 poster King sized bed and stone tiled floors.

There is also a sitting area with a large bay window and a private garden and patio.

The Kitchen in these private residence are fully equipped, like the One Bedroom Private Residences, with granite counter tops.

These Two Bedroom Ocean View Residences are also available with a choice of a 14 foot or  28 foot disappearing edge plunge pool.

• The Penthouses

There are three types of Penthouses available at The Crane Barbados.  These are the One Bedroom, Two Bedroom and Three Bedroom Penthouses.

Every Penthouse is air conditioned, has stone tile floors and is equipped with the top of the line in-room amenities that The Crane Luxury Resort Barbados has to offer to its guests.

The One Bedroom Penthouses can be found on the resort's fifth floor with not only a large ocean view balcony but also a roof top terrace. These Penthouses offer two bathrooms with marble walls and floors and an all glass and marble shower stall.

The Champagne Air Jacuzzi with an ocean view is also present with a double sized spa shower and 5 multi purpose showerheads.

There is a fully equipped, state of the art kitchen with Granite counter tops. as well as a 4 person breakfast bar found in the Penthouse's kitchen.

The hardwood floored, living area is 23'10" x 13'4"  with a 13' x 9' view of the ocean like that of the One and Two Bedroom Ocean View Private Residences. All other living and dining room area amenities are present, including a hand carved mahogany dining room table.

A Two Bedroom Ocean View Penthouse at The Crane Barbados Hotel is a more spacious Penthouse with a Master bedroom and an additional room featuring 2 twin beds and ensuite bathroom and shower.

A Two Bedroom Ocean View Penthouse can also be a combination of a One Bedroom Ocean View Penthouse and a Junior Garden View Suite.  This combination has both a mini kitchen and full kitchen.

The Three Bedroom Ocean View Penthouse is the most luxurious and spacious of the penthouse choices at The Crane Resort.  This penthouse features 3 bedrooms and 4 full bathrooms.  This allows this guest room to sleep up to 8 adults.

Unlike the other penthouses at The Crane Barbados Hotel, the Three Bedroom Ocean View Penthouse has a living and dinning area of 20'10" x 27'4" !

Another unique feature of the Three Bedroom Penthouse is the vaulted cathedral ceilings.

These ceilings are found in all three bedrooms, including the guest bedrooms.  The third guest bedroom can also be locked off from the rest of the residence so that it is its own separate, private Junior Suite.

In 2006, The Crane Barbados Hotel added a beautiful 1.5 acre multi-cascading pool complex to this Barbados luxury resort.

The Area Surrounding The Crane Barbados Hotel Resort

Since The Crane Barbados is located in the more secluded south eastern corner of the island in the parish of St.Philip, there are few attractions and places of interest nearby.

It is therefore extremely important that you have a rental car if you choose to stay at this Barbados luxury resort.  You will regret not doing this.

Shopping Nearby The Crane Barbados

The closest shopping to the The Crane Barbados is found at a shopping complex called Emerald City where many locals who live in the parish of St.Philip choose to shop. 

You can get to this shopping complex by travelling about 5 - 10 minutes north west from the resort.

There are a variety of stores here for you to chose from as well as The Emerald City Supermarket, a Barbados National Bank and Shell gas station to fill up your rental car.

The Crane Barbados also offers a complimentary shuttle that will take you into the island's capital, Bridgetown, to enjoy the shopping in the island's city.

Attractions and Beaches Nearby The Crane Barbados

There aren't really any attractions nearby The Crane Barbados Hotel.  

However there are 3 beaches other than The Crane Beach that you should take the opportunity to visit. These are Foul Bay, Bottom Bay and Harrismith Beach.

Even though the swimming opportunities here are not as nice as what you will find at The Crane Beach, these beaches are 3 of the most secluded and most beautiful beaches in Barbados.

You will want to set aside a day to drive over to these 3 beaches and take plenty of pictures while you are there. 

For those interested in playing golf, the nearest golf course to The Crane Barbados is The Barbados Golf Club.  This is an 18 hole, par 72, 6,805 yard golf course found in the parish right next to St.Philip called Christ Church.

This golf coure is about 8 miles / 12 km away from the resort.

For the surfers at heart, you will have to travel to Freights Bay or South Point at the southern most point of the island to enjoy some of the island's best surfing for beginners to intermediate surfers.

Restaurants Nearby The Crane Barbados

There aren't very many fancy restaurants to visit in the Crane area. 

However you will be within about 9 miles of the fishing village of Oistins.  This small town features what is known as the Oistins Fish Fry on Friday nights.

This is one of the most popular "authentic local dinning" attractions on the island where you can choose from a wide selection of vendors cooking up local seafood dishes.

You will need to arrange transportation to the Oistin's Fish Fry with The Crane Resort and a small fee may apply.
