The US Embassy Barbados is on hand to assist traveling US citizens who may find themselves in genuine emergency situations, such as criminal activity, destitution and serious illness.

They will also be able to assist you with any passport problems, visa services, notarial services, federal benefits and other usual consular services.

There is a US Embassy actually based on the island of Barbados and this tends to oversee much of these services that are offered to the neighbouring East Caribbean islands as well.

In some instances, visitors are advised to ensure that they have scheduled an appointment, prior to turning up at the Embassy. For the drop-in services, if payments are due in cash, the Embassy states that processes will be sped up if the exact fee can be given.

The Embassy is open between the hours of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Mondays to Fridays and do be aware that it closes for both local and US bank holidays.
